Russian tour operator South Cross out of business

It’s the fifth Russian tour operator this year, with South Cross announcing on Wednesday the suspension of all travel activities.

The cause of this action is significant economic problems by bankruptcies of other major Russian tour operators.

Customers of South Cross tour operator are 5.800, with 800 of them in China and the rest 5.000 in Greece (a lot of them in Crete).

South Cross had an insurance contract Reso Garantia for 52 mil. euros and can pay all its obligations to Greek hotels and Russian airlines (UT Air and TransAero).

Tour operators which suspended travel activities this summer are Voyage Inart, Neva, Windrose World, Expo Tour, Labirint, IntAer, Nordic Star, Atlas, Milan Tour, Santa Lucia, Αviacharter-DV, Lime Travel and Solvex Tour.
