A fine of 2,6 mil. euros for a tax fraud in an agricultural association on Crete

New cases of tax fraud and corruption uncovered during investigations, conducted by the Police of Economic Crime (Financial Crime – SDOE) during October 2014.

In cooperation with the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF), SDOE carried out an inspection in an Agricultural Association on Crete , which gave free graviera cheese to poor people.

During the tax audit, officers found several tax offenses and imposed fines of EUR 2.62 million.
