WSJ: How to buy a Greek Island

islandWall Street Journal makes an extensive tribute to Greece and refers to the super-rich who want and can acquire their own private paradise on earth.

According to the newspaper, traditionally these islands are not for sale and remain in the same families for generations.

However, due to the  increased interest of foreigners, the falling prices and changes in the tax law of Greece, about 20 private islands are for sale.

Most of these 20 islands available for have no infrastructure. Some of them are mainly rocky. The “Nissos”, located in the Ionian, five nautical miles from mainland is priced at about 6.8 million dollars and can “accommodate” six houses up to 130 sqm each. The nearby island Omfori is priced at 62 million dollars and has a small building.
