Schaeuble’s miffed: ‘If they don’t want my help, so be it’

schaeuble“Nobody forced Greece to enter a fiscal aid program”, German FinMin Wolfgang Schaeuble roared during the G20 meeting in Istanbul.

Schaeuble said he does not yet understand how the new Greek government will be able to handle its problems.

He also stressed that “If Greece wants our help, it needs a real program […] I still haven’t understood how the Greek government wants to proceed […] Germany isn’t the one in need of a program. I am ready to give all the help they want, but if they don’t want my help, so be it”.

He also seemed annoyed and stated that the Greek PM is “counting on settling financial problems by resettling the London accords, which took place in 1953″.
