Two women (aged 30 and 20) and two men (aged 21) were pretending that they were members of the local church in Heraklion, and managed to take money and jewelry from elderly people… “in the name of the Lord”.
A complaint was made to the Police by a 74 year old woman on January 28th, that two unknown women entered her house and told her that they were members of the local church community.
When they left, she realized that jewels (with a total cost of 1.500 euros) were missing.
During the preliminary investigation, it was found out that two men were waiting both women in a car, outside every house.
Police also found out that from January 27 to February 24, the “gang” stole money and jewels from three houses (total cost 5.520 euros).
