The majority of Greeks consider as real the risk of GREXIT

Public opinion is divided in terms of Greece’s future and the prospects and strategy of the government of SYRIZA and Independent Greeks as shown by a poll conducted by agency Metrisi for the online edition iefimerida.

Citizens seem worried by the possible bankruptcy of Greece or by the suspension of payments in the near future. More than half of respondents consider as possible Greece’s exit from the euro.

At the same time, over 50% of respondents agree with the government’s strategy in the negotiations whereas 40% believe that the early elections have caused problems.

SYRIZA continues to hold a significant lead in the preferences of voters and has a 12.2%
margin against New Democracy.

The poll was conducted in the period 17-20 February among 1,008 citizens from all constituencies in Greece.
