Samaria Run 2015
The “Samaria Run” is a nice opportunity to enjoy a fantastic route along the worldwide famous Samariá gorge on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, which is the only national park in Crete and the longest in Europe (total length 16km).
Welcome to the “Samaria Run” which is taking place in a spot that combines mountain and sea offering plenty of choices, since it is located only 38 km from Chania and is 4 km from Samariá gorge.

Registration is open until Wednesday, 7th of May 2015 or until the number of 200 applications is reached. Participation can be obtained via online registration.
Start Point: Machi, north entrance of “Samaria gorge”, 1.200m altitude
Finish Point: Xiloskalo, 1.250m altitude
- Health Coverage
In any case all runners participate solely at their own risk. The organizers have no responsibility for whatever happens to the runners related to health issues or is due to lack of preventive medical check. It is highly recommended that the participants undergo a thorough medical examination before entering the race. The organizers will not ask for medical certificates from any athlete (male and female), since they all participate at their own exclusive risk and responsibility (children are at the liability of their parents or guardians). We will also provide offers for special health checkup for all runners, and members of their families.
All participants who manage to finish the race will be given a commemorative medal and diploma.
