Famous Cretan Painter Aristides Vlassis dies at 68
One of the most talented and famous painters of Greece, Aristides Vlassis, died at the age of 68, on Tuesday afternoon.
Vlassis died, when a big art exhibition with his paintings is ongoing to the Basilica di San Marco at Heraklion!
Despite his disability problems, Vlassis became a famous artist, due to the colours and the simplicity of his paintings.
He was born in Heraklion in 1947, but he moved to Athens in 1994.
