Sepp Blatter re-elected FIFA president

Sepp Blatter has been re-elected president of world football federation FIFA after Prince Prince Ali bin al-Hussein withdrew before the second round.

Prince Ali had forced a second round after getting 73 of 206 valid ballots cast in the first round and denying Blatter the required two-thirds majority.

Blatter, 79, begins his fifth term as FIFA head much diminished as the result of the arrest of 14 FIFA officials in Zurich Wednesday over bribery allegations.
