VIDEO – The effects of speed limits on a Cretan highway… 64km in 75mins

A group of friends from the island of Crete wanting to show the rather arbitrary speed limits on Greek roads videotaped their driving experience on the North highway of the island from the city of Heraklion city to Agios Nikolaos.

They did not exceed the various speed limits and obeyed all traffic rules, taking them more than an hour -75 minutes- to cover 64km.

Most of the other drivers, who were more “relaxed” with the traffic regulations got really angry with them, as they were being slowed down.

You can watch their journey in the video below -the video is speeded up, except at the points where the speed limit changes.
