Heraklion FIBA U19 World Championship: Tunisia – Greece 48-100

No problem for the Greek NT to thrash the Tunisians with 52 points difference and qualify in the top 8 teams of the World in the World Championship Games U19 which are taking place in Heraklion of Crete.

The game was a derby for the first three minutes as after that the Greek NT change the mode and run the game into an extent where the Tunisian couldn’t follow in all the aspects. A great productive game by Tyler Dorsey (193-SG-96) with 23 points followed by the all around game of Vasileios Toliopoulos (186-PG-96, agency: Octagon Europe) and Mouratos with points, rebounds, assists.

The game was a continouous monologue from the host team of Greece and the Greek Head Coach Ilias Papatheodorou not only used all his players to see their condition while the star of the National Team, the injured Charalampopoulos played for 12 minutes t (he scored 4 points) to simply check his readiness in the very difficult game against the Spaniards on Friday for a position in the Semi-Finals.

Greece:

  • Tyler Dorsey 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in 22:40,
  • Dionysis Skoulidas (200-PF-97) 11 points in 13 minutes,
  • Papagiannis 10 points, 9 rebounds, 3 Block shots in 16:34′,
  • Vasileios Toliopoulos 9 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals.

Tunisia:

  • Achref Gannouni (194-SG-97) 10 points and 2 rebounds,
  • Jawadi 9 points.
