Marathon meeting of political party leaders ends after seven hours

A council of the political party leaders convened under President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos ended on Monday afternoon, after a seven-hour marathon session of talks.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras made no statements as he left the presidential mansion and headed straight to the government headquarters in the Maximos Mansion.

Other party leaders leaving the meeting said the opposition parties had agreed to support the government in the negotiations.
