The priest who “escorted” Nikos Kazantzakis to his grave

November 5, 1957… They day when Nikos Kazantzakis died.

In rememberance of that day, members of the Board of “Nikos Kazantzakis Museum” visited Father Stavros Karpathiotakis, the priest who “escorted” the famous Cretan writer to his grave at Martinengo, Heraklion.

Father Stavros was awarded by the Board of the Museum and he recounted what happened… back in 1957.
