Emergency landing in Athens for a flight heading to Crete

The flight of Transavia, from Amsterdam to Heraklion, was forced to make an emergency landing at “Eleftherios Venizelos” international airport in Athens, on Friday night.

The pilot told to the air traffic control of Athens’ Airport that the warning led was on, for smoke coming from the toilet of the airplane.

The aircraft landed at 22.50, firemen checked it, but they found nothing.

After an hour, it took off and landed 45 minutes later at Heraklion airport “Nikos Kazantzakis”.
