Greece registered 60 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said on Friday, with 40 of these relating to people entering Greece by land or air.
From the 40 cases brought in from abroad, two people requested a diagnostic test voluntarily, one each were detected in the regions of Kozani, Imathia and Xanthi, eight in Thessaloniki region and seven in Attica.
The total number of known cases has risen to 3,732 of whom 54.5 pct are men. Of these, 962 are linked to travel abroad and 1,962 have been traced to already known cases. The rest have not been traced or are under investigation.
No new deaths were recorded from Covid-19. Coronavirus-related fatalities since January 1 total 193, with the deceased having a median age of 76 years. Sixty-two of them were women, and over 95 pct had an underlying issue and/or were age 70 or above.
Another 9 are intubated in hospitals. Their median age is 58 years, and 66.7 pct are men.
The number of diagnostic tests carried out in Greece for the virus total 363,412; of these, 5,894 (or 1.6 pct) were positive. The numbers include retests; from the tests grand total, 39,444 (or 10.9 pct) relate to random testing on incoming airport passengers, as of June 12. Of these, 78 (or 0.2 pct) tested positive.
