Greece confirmed 354 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, including 56 related to known clusters and 23 identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said.
As of February, when the pandemic reached Greece, Greece has had 18,475 confirmed coronavirus cases, of whom 2,927 are linked to travel abroad and 7,598 to already known cases.
Seventy-eight individuals are intubated. Their median age is 69 years, 87.2 pct have an underlying condition or are aged 70 or more, while 22 are women. A total of 212 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic.
In addition, there are 3 more deaths recorded, bringing the number of fatalities to 391. Their median age was 78 years and 96.7 pct had an underlying condition and/or age 70 or more. One hundred forty-four were women.
Of the 354 new cases, 195 were recorded in the region of Attica, with 12 in that of Thessaloniki, 10 in Karditsa, 13 in Pella (10 are connected), and 9 in Achaia prefecture.
