The body of a dead man was found at Agios Pavlos, close to peninsula of Rodopou, Chania, late on Sunday evening.
The dead body was found by a man who has gone in the area to collect salt.
It is in advanced sepsis but the Authorities examined if it belongs to the missing Denbigh, 74 year old Arthur Jones (missing from 19/6 – see here).
By the first evidence (clothes, shoes, etc.) and photos sent to the forensic surgeon, it is almost certain that it’s the dead body of Arthur Jones.
As it has been stated by Civil Protection of Chania, policemen found on the body the passport of Arthur Jones, an evidence which confirms that the dead man found is the missing Denbigh.
Forensic examination will be completed in the afternoon, showing causes of death of the 74 year old.
